How to set up and use a Fredo name badge printer

How to connect the Fredo printer to your event? Easy! Just follow these few steps:

  1. Log into your Fredo dashboard on your PC/laptop and find your event.
  2. Find and note down your 7-digit PIN on the event page overview.  
  3. Grab a check-in device (phone) and open the Fredo app. The check-in devices are located inside the printer boxes. There is one phone per printer.
  4. Input the 7-digit PIN you recorded in Step 2. 

Congrats - the app is now connected to your event.

    Now, follow these steps to connect the check-in device to the printer:

    1. Open the printer’s hatch and confirm that a label roll is properly loaded.
    2. Turn on the printer by pressing and holding the power button in the upper left corner until it lights up.
    3. Inside each printer box, you'll find a black cable approximately 2 meters long.
      1. Plug one end of the cable into the back of the printer. The port is located next to the charging port
      2. Connect the other end of the cable to your check-in device.
    4. Open the Fredo app on your Fredo phone and tap the camera icon “scan”  in the lower right corner.
    5. Scan the QR code on the front of the printer in order to pair it.
    6. Once successfully paired, a green bar will appear at the top of the screen with the message: “CABLE PRINTER CONNECTED.”
    7. Check in via the app by either searching for the person's name under "Attendee list" or by scanning the ticket QR code under "Scan”.
















    OBS the printer and check-in device can last for 6 hours without the charger connected.
